Why choose Kent Fostering?

We're the most experienced Fostering service in Kent, we've been looking after children for over 40 years.

You'll be supported on every step of your fostering career by an experienced, caring and dedicated team of professionals from healthcare, social services and education.

We offer fantastic training, with opportunities to gain professional qualifications.

We're supported by Kent County Council (KCC), for whom fostering is a key priority. Our support from KCC ensures a level of commitment and dedication you'd be hard pressed to find from another fostering provider.

We're excellent at what we do, and Ofsted agree with us. They gave us an 'Outstanding' rating during their last inspection in May 2022:

Children are at the centre of Kent County Council’s culture and practice. Outstanding practice is evident for children in care and care experienced young people as they clearly benefit from the support they receive and make good progress. Foster carers are universally positive about their support, including from children’s social workers.

What's different about Kent Fostering?

Unlike other fostering services, we make a commitment to place Kent children in Kent homes within 10 miles of their previous home.

As the children you care for are local, the waiting times for a placement will be less than those of other fostering services.

Our social workers are all local and all have fantastic knowledge of local support services.

To ensure a good placement match, our children are shown potential carer profiles and get a choice of placement where possible.

We're a public service and we're not in it for profit. Our only goal is to provide safe, nurturing homes for our children.
